The Pixie Project
In 2013 I was inspired to make an art piece about freedom and peace in nature - The Pixie Project.
Pixies were magical creatures I discovered with my camera in repose in their natural habitats.
I invited yogis, dancers, acrobats and regular folk to traipse into the woods with me for an experience that blended art and meditation. Work became play. Delight abounded. Beauty was born.
A few years down the line, I recognized another voice calling for expression: hurt and longing.
I again invited friends and strangers to express the inexpressible.
My new pixies voiced pain, long pent-up feelings.
Work became connection. Insight grew. Beauty transformed.
Are you ready to be a pixie?
